Robert Townsend ist ein US-amerikanischer Schauspieler, Regisseur, Komiker und Autor. In den 1980er und frühen 1990er Jahren erlangte Townsend landesweite Bekanntheit durch seine Stand-up-Comedy-Auftritte und Gastrollen in der „Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson“.
