Biografie
François Roland Truffaut (6. Februar 1932 – 21. Oktober 1984) war ein einflussreicher Filmkritiker und Filmemacher und einer der Begründer der Nouvelle Vague. In seiner über 25-jährigen Filmkarriere gilt er bis heute als Ikone des französischen Films. Er war außerdem Drehbuchautor, Produzent und Schauspieler und wirkte an über 25 Filmen mit. Zusammen mit Jean-Luc Godard zählte Truffaut zu den prägendsten Figuren der Nouvelle Vague und inspirierte Regisseure wie Steven Spielberg, Quentin Tarantino, Brian De Palma, Martin Scorsese und Wes Anderson.
