Biografie

Barry Alan Crompton Gibb, CBE, ist Sänger, Songwriter und Produzent. Er wurde auf der Isle of Man als Sohn englischer Eltern geboren. Zusammen mit seinen Brüdern Robin und Maurice gründete er die Bee Gees, eine der erfolgreichsten Popgruppen aller Zeiten. Das Trio begann seine Karriere in Australien und feierte seinen größten Erfolg nach der Rückkehr nach England. Bekannt für seine hohe Falsettstimme, hält Gibb mit sechs aufeinanderfolgenden Nummer-eins-Hits in den Billboard Hot 100 den Rekord als Songwriter. Er ist außerdem der einzige Songwriter, der fünf Songs gleichzeitig in den Top Ten der Charts geschrieben oder mitgeschrieben hat.
